2018 Pinewood Derby was a roaring success!

Thank you all for a wonderful event today.  I'm happy to report that we had more cars this year than last year, and still wrapped up before 3:00! 

A few important follow-up notes:

Thank you to our volunteers - I would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped us put on PWD 2018.  As you may have noticed, a lot goes into organizing and running a successful PWD.  We could not have done it without all of our wonderful volunteers.  There are too many names to note, but you all know who you are -- thanks!

Race Results - We had some great races today!  And the cars were really amazing.  I'm surprised every year at the level of creativity and amount of detail our Scouts and their families are able to produce. We also broke a pack record. The new time to beat is 2.49 seconds!

What's next?  At the April pack meeting (4/12/18) we will present trophies to our top three Scout finishers and to each Den winner.  We will also announce the winners of our "looks" categories competition.  On Saturday, April 7, our top four finishers and fastest Tiger will represent Pack 33 at the District Races.  More details to follow for those folks.  For everyone else, it's never too early to start thinking about your car design for next year.
